Hysteroscopy
- Semi lithotomy position. GA. IV antibiotics, TEDS
- vaginal examination uterus anteverted bulky irregular, normal cervix
- Bilateral fornices free, no tenderness
- Saline hysteroscopy done - per op bilateral ostia seen, regular smooth uterine cavity. Normal Proliferative endometrium. normal cervix.
- Endometrial currette done and endometrial lining send for histology.
- minimal bleeding.
- MIrena inserted as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Op findings vaginal examination uterus anteverted bulky irregular, normal cervix.
- Bilateral fornices free, no tenderness.
- Saline hysteroscopy done - per op bilateral ostia seen, regular smooth uterine cavity. Normal Proliferative endometrium. normal cervix.
- Routine post op care.
- Expect some spotting and some abdominal cramps.
- Pain relief as required.
- FU rooms in 2-3/52
